Not all parties have to be downtown or in the 6th street area. If you are tired of dealing with people and traffic, consider a party at a location away from all of that (they do exist). There will be bands playing too.

If you have NEVER been to the Carousel Lounge, its a trip. Its truely Austin-tatious. And to save even more $$, you can bring in your own liquor (but you cannot bring in beer or wine coz they sell that there) and buy a $2 set up for your bottle. There is a liquor store just 2 doors down from the bar just in case you wanna make a pit stop there first.
