IAMS DOG FOOD RECALL

IAMS has voluntarily recalled four of its dry dog foods prompted by fear that they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that affects both animals and people.

Though no illnesses have been reported so far, the company is recalling all dry sizes and varities of Eukanuba Naturally Wild, Eukanuba Pure, Eukanuba Custom Care Sensitive Skin and IAMS Veterinary Dry Formulas with ‘Best By’ dates of July 1, 2010 to December 1, 2011. These products are sold in veterinary clinics and specialty pet retailers throughout Canada and the United States. All of the recalled products are produced at the same facility where salmonella may have infected them. Note that no canned food, biscuits, treats or supplements are affected.
