Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion sent me a 4 oz sample of this lotion to try and review…so here we go:
When I first got this sample, my first thought was that I could go thru a 4 oz. sample pretty quickly, especially since it’s for the face, hands & body.
The directions on the bottle read: Apply a small amount, initially every 2-8 hours until moisture level improves, then just once every 12-24 hours.
I also read on the bottle, “Exceptionally Enhances Your Skin’s Hydrating and Protective Abilities.”
I thought it would be a thick lotion, but its not—it’s a thinner type of texture, a bit watery. This lotion has no scent to it and it absorbs into your skin pretty quickly and doesn’t leave it feeling oily, sticky or greasy.
Skin MD leaves your skin feeling like it has a moisture barrier on it-which is pretty cool. Skin MD claims, its "transforming the outer layer of skin into a hydrating invisible shield." Because of this, you do not have to keep re-applying lotion all the time. But, if you are the type of person that uses those alcohol based hand sanitizers a lot during the day you will find the need to reapply this lotion.
This is where I was impressed, I used this lotion on my legs right after shaving them. You may think that I was crazy for trying it, but I will try this for my readers. I have to admit, I expected the burning, itching and redness to show up on my legs and it didn’t happen!! I was shocked!! This lotion worked beautifully on my freshly shaven legs and didn’t make the skin on my legs irritated. WOW!!!

I'm following and I'd love to win this!
They have a moisturizing factor of at least 6 times greater than glycerin. I need all the moisture I can get.
